Pakistan Listed Among Top 15 Countries Worldwide In Cryptocurrency Adoption
According to the report, Ukraine and Russia are the leading countries in the adoption of cryptocurrency, ahead of tech-savvy nations such as the US, Japan, and China.
Pakistan has been ranked 15th out of 154 countries for global digital currency adoption.
This was revealed by the blockchain data platform Chainalysis in the Global Crypto Adoption Index report based on trading metrics.
According to the report, Ukraine and Russia are the leading countries in the adoption of cryptocurrency, ahead of tech-savvy nations such as the US, Japan, and China.
Many African nations were also found to be enthusiastically involved in the adoption of cryptocurrency.
Kenya was listed as the 5th country most likely to adopt cryptocurrency. South Africa and Nigeria were not far behind, securing the 7th and the 8th spots on the list, respectively.
In Asia, Pakistan ranked an impressive 15th globally for digital currency adoption.
According to the report, Pakistan received an excess of USD 1.5 billion in crypto-cash last year.
Analysts have suggested that it could have been much more in the current year if transactions were made easier.
Other countries in the Asian continent also showcased remarkable progress towards crypto adoption in the past year.
Leading the Asian cryptocurrency market, China ranked 4th on the list in the adoption of digital currency.
Similarly, Vietnam secured 10th place, India 11th, Thailand 12th, and South Korea at 17th.
The Middle East is also catching up, even though many states in the region still do not tolerate any activities connected to the blockchain.
