15 US trade delegations to visit Pakistan this year to explore trade possibilities

The Chairman of the Pak-US Business Council, Iftikhar Ali Malik, has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s statement for improving trade volume with Pakistan. This was said during Trump’s meeting with PM Imran Khan on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Dynamic Leadership

The Chairman said that under the dynamic leadership of PM Khan, the perception of Pakistan is changing in the global market. Many US companies and investors are looking forward to investing in the country.

Malik further said that it is a good sign for Pakistan that the US President was excited about the potential for improving and escalating the US-Pakistan trade and investment relationship.

The Chairman further said that Pakistan should outline comprehensive policies to take full advantage of the planned visits of 15 US trade delegations expecting to visit Pakistan this year to discover potentialities for expanding trade with the country.

World Bank’s 2020 Ease of Doing Business ranking

Iftikhar Malik said the situation has improved remarkably, after Pakistan increased by 28 points on the World Bank’s 2020 Ease of Doing Business ranking and being highlighted as one of the top ten reformers internationally.

Malik said Pak-US Business Council is ready to play its role in improving collaboration with key institutions in both countries to assure consistent and planned policies in promoting US private sector interests in Pakistan.
