259,767 online loan applications received through Kamyab Jawan Program
25% of the total loans will be given to young females for starting their small businesses.
According to Usman Dar, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, has said that around 259,767 loan applications have been received online under the ‘Kamyab Jawan Programme’ on Tuesday.
While talking to a press conference, he said that big number of youth have applauded this step of the government as daily 50,000 applications were received.
He stated that loans would be given on merit without political affiliation. Further on, he also said that Pakistanis from the age of 21 years to 45 years can apply for the loan.
Imran Khan said that 25% of the total loans will be given to young females for starting their small businesses. He said that all applications will be submitted online and SMS will be sent to the numbers with confirmation details for assigning all bank branches.
He also added that this is the first time in Pakistan that the government has created opportunities to open a pathway for the socio-economic empowerment of the youth. This has been possible through PM’s Kamyab Jawan program.
He said that under this program, ‘Skill for All Program’ will be included under which technical and vocational training will be given.
Startup Pakistan Program:
Another initiative under Kamyab Jawan will be the ‘Startup Pakistan Program’ and through this, young entrepreneurs will be trained to better their business plans through access to the digital development platform.
“I assure you the program is completely transparent and merit-based. To ensure transparency, the entire program is made available on a digital platform and a scorecard has been developed on the basis of artificial intelligence to run the program,” – said Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, while talking about the program.
