Prime Minister’s ‘Kamyab Jawan Programme’ will benefit 52% of the country’s population, with 25% of the loans being given to women so they can start small businesses.

This program aimed at providing loans to the young and create job opportunities for them with a ‘follow up’ strategy, as per an official of the Ministry of Youth Affairs.

He revealed that even though programs of the same nature, they haven’t been totally beneficial. This new program, on the other hand, has numerous schemes that will contribute to its success.

He said that Rs. 100 billion have been allotted to the ‘Kamyab Jawan’ program, which will help in aiding over one million youth across Pakistan.

The Online Portal has been started on a website, where you can apply for a loan of as low as Rs. 50,000 and as high as Rs. 50, 00,000 on easy return policy.

Further on, the official stated that for efficient monitoring, the application form is available on the ‘Kamyab Jawan’ portal. The goal of this portal is to give a platform where applicants can apply directly to the relevant banks.

The portal will be controlled by the National Information Technology Board, Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
Authorized stakeholders for specific reasons will have access to the portal, like individuals that have to apply for a loan, retrieving information for monitoring and provision of guidance and support, etc.

Furthermore, an external audit of the portal will be conducted on a yearly basis, this will help in ensuring that the portal is being used by the concerned stakeholders for its intended purpose only and there isn’t any unauthorized use of the online portal.

The official said that under this program, a business loan will be given to potential young entrepreneurs for the upgrade of the SME sector in the country. Under this program, the program Skill for All Program will also be included, under this technical and vocational training will be given.

Another initiative under ‘Kamyab Jawan Programme’ will be ‘Startup Pakistan Programme’, under this potential young entrepreneurs will be given training and taught to mature their business plans, conceive and improve their business through access to digital incubation platform.

“I assure you the program is completely transparent and merit-based. To ensure transparency, the entire program is made available on a digital platform and a scorecard has been developed on the basis of artificial intelligence to run the program,” – said Usman Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, while talking about the program.

“I am happy as this program is the first step towards fulfilling the PTI’s promise for youth’s prosperity” – he told.

Dar stated that under this program, a state-of-the-art digital platform will be developed by the government to support the youth.

“We have youth, they are our power but unfortunately we are lacking in skills’’ – he continued.
