Faisal Vawda has made the headlines, again. The PTI leader is known for his on-and-off camera antics. However, this time, he went a little too far.

He brought an actual army boot on a live TV show. Faisal Vawda used the army boot to mock PMLN and PPP for supporting the services chief’s tenure bills. He started the show by placing the boot on the table and mocked the PML-N slogan “Vote Ko Izzat Do” by saying “Boot Ko Izzat Do”.

“I am going to bring this boot to every talk show. This is how democratic the PML-N is. They lie down to kiss the boot,” Vawda said.

On being asked that why did PTI unconditionally support the bill, he said that it was ‘their stance and they stood firm on it in the best interest of Pakistani nation’. His gimmick led to Pemra banning the show of the host, Kashif Abbasi.

Siasat.pk ran an online poll to know about what people think. The final results showed that the majority of the people believe Vawda should resign for repeatedly being a reason for embarrassment to the government.

PM Imran Khan also showed his displeasure and banned Vawda from making any TV appearances for two weeks. He also sought an explanation from him.

“I told the prime minister whatever he is saying is right. I assured him that it will not happen again and he will act responsibly,” Vawda said. He further added that he was not aware of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority’s rules before.
