In collaboration with Bhushan Kumar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is ready to co-produce a film on the Balakot Air Strikes incident that took place in 2019.

The film will be directed by the director of ‘Kedarnath’ Abishek Kapoor while the producers of the film include Mahaveer Jain and Pragya Kapoor as well.

The film is based upon the airstrikes which were conducted by India on terror camps in Pakistan in February 2019.

The makers have explained the film as, “A story that celebrates the accomplishments of the Indian Air Force.”

A film critic also tweeted, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain, and Pragya Kapoor to make a film on 2019 Balakot Airstrike… Directed by Abhishek Kapoor”

The film will be a portrayal of the airstrikes that the Indian air force executed against terrorist camps in Pakistan, days after a terror attack on CRPF convoy in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama claimed the lives of over 40 paramilitary personnel.

Earlier, an ‘anti-Pakistan’ hyper-nationalist series were also announced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies entertainment.

Infamous Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat also responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s tweet.

Earlier this year, Pakistan also decided to come out with a comedy movie of IAF pilot Abhinandan in response to the Indian movie ‘Balakot’, which is being directed by Vivek Oberoi.
The movie will attempt to mock the Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, while the neighboring country will make a movie entirely on the pilot and how he was held ‘captive’ Pakistan.

The Lollywood film, titled ‘Abhinandan Come On’ will be directed by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, and the role of Abhinandan will be played by Shamoon Abbasi.
