Aitchison College starts offering local qualifications

Aitchison College Lahore has decided to offer local qualifications, including matric and intermediate, alongside foreign qualifications from the next academic session starting 2022.

The advertisement about these admissions was placed in many local newspapers on Sunday.

As per the admission notice available on the college’s website, the last date to apply for matric admission is the 30th of November 2021, while applications for intermediate must reach by the 30th of May 2022.

Sources have revealed that the all-boys college has affiliated itself with Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) for Pakistani qualifications, mainly intermediate.

Moreover, the decision to offer local qualifications, which had been phased out over the years, was taken to follow and implement the Single National Curriculum (SNC).

It is pertinent to mention that recently there had been news about Aitchison College not following the Single National Curriculum.

According to reports, Aitchison College offered intermediate classes till the 1980s and those of matric in the 1970s, but they were later phased out.
