Islamabad United’s opening batter Alex Hales has decided not to continue playing any further in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this season. It is indeed a big blow for the United as the Englishman has been their leading run scorer in the competition so far.

According to details, Alex Hales withdrew from HBL PSL because of personal reasons. He is the second foreign player to withdraw from the competition in the last two days.

Yesterday, Quetta Gladiators‘ Ben Duckett also withdrew from the tournament citing personal reasons.

Islamabad United had already lost their explosive opening batter, Paul Stirling, who had to participate in the Oman Quadrangular T20I Series 2022.

Alex Hales has provided the former PSL champions with some good starts at the top of the batting order. He has scored 255 at an average of 42.50.
