A famous Pakistani religious scholar and member of the National Assembly, Amir Liaquat Hussain, has come under fire for posting a double meaning and inappropriate post on his official Twitter account.

The member National Assembly tweeted, “ 4 inches are more comfortable than 6 inches. Phones should not be too big.”

Social media users were outraged, and  criticized Amir Liaquat for his tweet. However, some users were surprised by such irresponsible behavior from the religious scholar.

Here’s how people reacted:

One of the social media users said, “So being an Islamic scholar of Pakistan, now you are tweeting double entendre jokes to get attention. Like seriously?? I can’t believe it’s your original account, and it’s you.”

Another said, “This is his real account, and he is just showing his stupid nature.”

This is not the first time that the TV host stirred a controversy. He has been at the center of numerous disputes, from getting a Ph.D. in 20 days to abusing his influence to spread discord and hatred in the country.

In 2008, in a morning TV show, Aamir Liaquat Hussain, along with a panel of clerics, made offensive remarks against a minority community and discussed their killing as an act of religious responsibility.

In 2011, a controversial video was released through social media showing Aamir Liaquat using profane language and speaking insensitively during the show. In the same video, he mocked his religious guests, carelessly singing Indian songs, and referring to Indian movies.

On the 13th of December 2017, the Islamabad High Court banned Amir Liaquat from making any media appearances till further notice.
