Overseas Pakistani requests for urgent action as he is being asked for bribe to restore his gas meter.
An overseas Pakistani, who is being asked for a hefty amount of bribe to resolve his concern, is appealing everyone to help him spread the word as he has been denied help from Pakitan Citizen’s Portal as well.
Here is what he has to say:
”I am from Canada and me and my family decided to invest in Pakistan and started a boys hostel on Wahdat road. We asked some Sui gas officials what gas meter connection will be used we were given their website where it says hostel is under domestic category number two and the minimum billing is 3600.07rs
However, when our hostel started, a Sui gas official said we have to give him monthly Rs 3000 along with the bill or he would cut off our meter and our business would fail. so we were forced to pay this official as well, however, after 1 month our meter was disconnected and all the students have left and our business has failed.
We want to still try again with business and want our gas connected we submitted all paperwork to get it reconnected however it has been over a month and our meter has not been reconnected.
THE MAIN ISSUE:
I AM BEING ASKED TO PROVIDE A BRIBE OF AROUND 90,000RS TO GET MY GAS METER RECONNECTED!!!!!!!!
BOTH MY NEIGHBORS GAVE BRIBE OF 90,000RS AND HAVE GOTTEN THEIR GAS METER RECONNECTED IN ONLY 5 DAYS!!!!!
I made two complaints on citizen portal (FC260319-2005570) and (FC030419-2112594) after 1st complaint MD SUI gas falsely said relief granted but no one even contacted us and no relief was ever granted.
After the second complaint, MD closed the complaint and said visit office and submit paperwork WE ALREADY SUBMITTED ALL PAPERWORK!!!
MD doesn’t comment on the REAL ISSUE of CORRUPTION and BRIBERY!!!
MD made no INVESTIGATION into who is asking for money ( BRIBE)!!!
NO INVESTIGATION of how both neighbours meter were RECONNECTED in 5 DAYS!!!
but keeps saying disconnected because of commercial use BOTH NEIGHBORS DOING SAME THING I.E RUNNING A BOYS HOSTEL on domestic meter category 2, why was THEIR METER RECONNECTED IN ONLY 5 DAYS!!! AND MY METER STILL NOT CONNECTED???
REAL ISSUE is why are officials asking for a bribe to RECONNECT that is the real issue. Our neighbours have paid a bribe and got meter back in 5 days is that what the MD want us to do also?
PLEASE KINDLY LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE OF HIGH-LEVEL CORRUPTION OF MD SUI GAS.

”After contacting overseas Pakistani commission and lodging complaint on CM office, a Sui gas official has finally contacted us, he said try how hard you want the file is in his hand and he has full power. he gave new deal (i.e reduced bribe money) and he will reconnect the old meter (i.e domestic!!!) in only 4 days if not I will never get my meter back.
So now the real issue came to light, it’s not about commercial or hostel use meter becauseSsui gas website already states what category is needed for hostel. they just want to make illegal money. All neighbours are saying he gave you a good deal with reduced bribe just take it because if you complain about him then your meter will never get reconnected.”
