Ahmad moved to the United Kingdom in 2014, following the worst militant attack on an Army Public School. The APS Peshawar attack resulted in 150 casualties, and his younger brother was also martyred. He escaped the terrorists by pretending to be dead when they were roaming the school building. Ahmad was taken to Birmingham for treatment after being shot in the arm.
