VIDEO: PPP leader blamed for abducting, killing a man for posting videos of Arabs hunting Houbara Bustard in Thatta

Thatta-A man named Nazim Jokhio was abducted and murdered on Tuesday in the outskirts of Karachi allegedly over posting videos on social media of Arabs hunting Houbara bustard in Thatta district.
The victim posted a video showing Arabs hunting Houbara bustard on his social media accounts. In the video one of the huntsmen stepped out of the vehicle and thrashed Nazim upon spotting him.
According to the victim’s family, he was tortured to death in the Memon Goth area of District Malir on Tuesday. However, the body was found on Wednesday.
Following the discovery of the body, family members and relatives of the deceased gathered on the National Highway. They staged a protest against the incident, which caused a massive traffic jam in the surrounding area.

The victim’s brother, Afzal Jhokio, has accused the Pakistan People’s Party MPA, Jam Awais, of killing his brother in his(PPP lawmaker) Malir farmhouse.
Speaking to a source, the District Malir SSP, Irfan Bahadur, confirmed that torture marks were found on the victim’s body.
The Malir SSP said that the victim’s brother claimed that three days before Nazim was killed, he was manhandled by security guards of Jam Awais as he had stopped the MPA’s Arab guests from hunting Houbara bustard in Thatta.
Earlier, the victim shared another video where he revealed that his life was in danger.
The Malir SSP, Bahadur, said, “We have recorded victim’s brother video statement as he wants to nominate the PPP lawmaker, his secretary, and others in the FIR.”
The officer added that two guards of the PPP leader had been detained, and further investigations were underway.
Nazim’s family has requested the higher authorities to take notice of the incident and arrest the culprits.
