Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib Given Rs 25 Lakh Each

Two Pakistani athletes, Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib, became a household name following their spectacular performance at the Tokyo Olympics. Although, the two athletes didn’t win a medal but they did the nation proud.

Sports enthusiasts across the country demanded that both Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib should be honoured as well as provided with better opportunities for their future endeavours.

Now, chairman WAPDA Lt General Muzammil Hussain (retd) has announced a prize money of Rs 25 lakh each for the two athletes. A ceremony in honor of Talha and Arshad was held at the WAPDA house.

“I thank Chairman WAPDA for honoring me. WAPDA is a platform that gives players a chance all over Pakistan and I have come this far due to their facilities,” Arshad said while speaking at the occasion.

Talha also thanked the WAPDA sports board.

Thanks to WAPDA Sports Board for this. To date, the players have not received such a big prize. I will continue to make Pakistan’s name proud all over the world,” Talha said.

Furthermore, a prize of Rs 5 lakh was also announced for Arshad Nadeem’s coach Fayyaz Bukhari.
