Ashes 2019: Yuvraj Singh’s funny reaction to Shoaib Akhtar’s remarks criticizing Jofra Archer

Pakistan’s star cricketer and fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar took to Twitter to condemn Jofra Archer’s attitude after striking the Australian Steve Smith on the fourth day of Ashes Test last Saturday. English bowler’s aggressive bowling hit the batsman Smith twice during Saturday match; first at the elbow and then on the neck leaving the batsman injured.

Shoaib Akhtar showed resentment at the English bowler saying that bouncers are a part and parcel of the game but whenever a bowler hits a batsman, courtesy requires that the bowler must go and check on him.

“It was not nice of Archer to just walk away while Smith was in pain. I was always the first one to run to the batsman,” he added.

Former Indian cricketer and all-rounder Yuvraj Singh who has just retired from playing all forms of cricket responded to Shoaib Akhtar’s tweet saying: “Yes you did! But your actual words were hope your alright mate cause there are a few more coming.”

In an earlier comment regarding fast bowler,  Yuvraj Singh tweeted a day after his retirement that he was always terrified whenever Shoaib Akhtar used to bowl at him.

“Thanks, payan for your lovely wishes. Trust me every time you ran into a bowl at me it was terrifying! I had to gather a lot of courage to face you. We had some great battles and will always cherish those moments Shoaib Akhtar’s Special Message,” Yuvraj tweeted in response to a video message by Pakistani fast bowler enlightening the good performance and cricket skills of Indian player.
