Asia Cup 2022: Date for Pakistan-India encounter revealed
In the next few weeks, the Pakistan and India encounter at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be the centre of attention, however, the two teams will lock horns at the Asia Cup next month before the showpiece event.
The upcoming Asia Cup will commence from August 27 and continue till September 11. The schedule for the event will be revealed in the next few days after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) got the nod to hold the tournament amid the situation in the country.
According to multiple reports, the Pakistan and India match at the Asia Cup will be held on August 28th. The event will be played in T20 format as part of the preparations for the World Cup in November, where the two arch rivals will face each other at the iconic MCG on October 23.
Team India will be looking to avenge their humiliating defeat at the last year’s T20 World Cup. They had lost the game by 10 wickets after staying undefeated against Pakistan ever since the two teams faced each other for the first time in any world cup.
