Did Coke Studio just plagiarise the Asma-ul-Husna video? See Sami Yusuf’s naat and compare yourself!
What do you think?
Atif Aslam has always been everyone’s favorite and has quite a long list of viral videos from Coke Studio.
Recently, Atif collaborated with Coke Studio for another exclusive video, which went viral within minutes after it was released.
His take on Asma-ul-Husna – the 99 names of Allah – received a bundle of praise around the globe and got millions of hits.
With Atif’s soulful voice, Asim Raza’s direction, and Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan’s production, the video itself became an overnight sensation. People simply cannot seem to have enough of it.
However, Aamir Ali Shah, a blogger, called out Coke Studio for imitating British singer Sami Yusuf’s video. Shah shared the two videos side by side on his Instagram handle and handed the case to the audience.

Are these two videos uncannily similiar? For those who don't know Sami Yusuf is a British singer who blends elements of Western and Eastern sounds with religious/spiritual lyrics. And he calls his style 'spiritique' #aamiriat #samiyusuf #asmaulhusna #atifaslam #cokestudioramzan #youcometome
For those who do not know, Sami is a British-singer born in Tehran, Iran. He is a multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and composer.
