Assets Worth Billions Of Pakistan Steel Mills Stolen As Security Staff Watched
In a shocking news, Pakistan Steel Mills’ (PSM) assets worth billions of rupees have been stolen. The exact amount of the assets stolen, including the copper cable of the mills, is over PKR 10 billion.
The revelation was made by the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) Insaf Labour Union in a letter written to the Federal Minister of Industries & Production.
In the letter, the Labour Union demanded to immediately remove the PSM Board of Directors. The management of PSM has been accused of facilitating the robbers in the heist.
PSM Labour Union mentioned the details of the night when billions of rupees of assets of the steel mills were stolen. According to them, around four dozen men entered the premises of the PSM and took the copper cable.
The security staff was also present on the occasion but did nothing to stop the men. The PSM is expected to be privatized soon as it is on the list of the Privatization Commission.
