[VIDEO] Atiqa Odho speaks for the first time after being declared 'innocent' in the liquor case after 9 years!

In 2011, Atiqa Odho was detained by the Airport Security Force at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport for allegedly carrying two liquor bottles in her luggage.

On the 21st of August, the veteran actress, Atiqa Odho, was cleared by the Rawalpindi court for carrying two liquor bottles in her luggage.  The court acquittal came after nine years.

In the final verdict, Rawalpindi’s judicial magistrate, Yasir Chaudhry, announced:

There wasn’t any evidence against Atiqa Odho in the liquor bottle case.

In 2011, Atiqa Odho was detained by the Airport Security Force at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport for allegedly carrying two liquor bottles in her luggage. Some ‘influential figures’ intervened in the matter, and Odho was released.

Following this, Chief Justice, Iftikhar Chaudhry, took suo motu notice of Odho’s release. He ordered the authorities to lodge a first information report of the incident.

After nine years, the court finally acquitted Atiqa Odho. Atiqa Odho took to Instagram to share her delight.

She shared a snippet from the talk show ‘Aj Shahzaib Khanzada Kay Sath’ and wrote:

Nine years I waited for Justice, and now I have finally got it. I never lost hope in our Judicial system. A brave magistrate finally did the honorable thing and accepted my acquittal appeal. It has been a long and painful journey, but if it helps the citizens of Pakistan get quicker Justice after this, it is all worth it. As for the former CJP, Iftikhar Chaudry, I feel so sorry for him. He lost a golden opportunity to serve our nation and instead played petty politics and ruined his name and embarrassed our honorable judiciary. The people have spoken, so I do not need to say more. Pakistan Zindabad!
