The Australian government will cover visa and scholarship for individuals if they have any one of the skills mentioned on the PMSOL.

If you’re looking to move to Australia, but don’t know how, then you need to know about the Australian ‘Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List.’ The Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List consists of a list of professions or skills that if an individual possesses, then the government would be willing to cover the visa and scholarship on your behalf.

PMSOL names around 44 occupations, which cover the most essential skills needed to recover the Australian economy, following COVID-19. The list is based on expert advice from the National Skills Commission and departments of the Commonwealth.

Similarly, employer sponsored nomination and visa applications will be prioritised during processing. Although other occupation lists will also remain active, the PMSOL occupations will be given the top priority.

It is also important to mention that the list is not permanent and could change after Australia recovers from the aftermath of the pandemic. The National Skills Commission and the government will supervise the impact of the pandemic on the labour market and evaluate its needs as new sources of data emerge.
