Manora is a small peninsula between the Karachi Harbour and the Arabian Sea.
The provincial government has revamped the Manora Island Beach in Karachi, developing a promenade to make the site into a local tourist point.
The beach is now open to the general public.
The announcement regarding the upgrade of the beach was made earlier by the Karachi Administrator, Murtaza Wahab.
According to the details, the provincial government is currently developing the Manora Beach Front Promenade as a recreation site for the citizens.
A promenade is a walking space that allows pedestrians to walk on the side of the beach or the sea.
The provincial government and the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) are also developing recreational spots alongside the island beach.
About Manora Island

Manora is a small peninsula between the Karachi Harbour and the Arabian Sea.
The area was formerly an island but is now connected to mainland Karachi via the connection with Sandspit Beach.
Manora Island’s sandy beaches are popular with the citizens as a place for recreational activities.

The area is still popularly accessed by citizens via fishermen boats as the land route towards the island is off-route and long.
It is pertinent to note that Manora Island’s sandy beaches merge into the Sandspit Beach, which merges into the beaches of Turtle Beach and Hawke’s Bay Beach.

The whole strip of land that extends from Manora Island and beyond is home to Karachi’s best beaches.
