Pakistan will be facing Australia in the first One Day International (ODI) of three match series today in Lahore. The visiting team won the three match test series 1-0.

The Men in Green will be led by Babar Azam, who will have his eyes on multiple ODI records currently held by South African great Hashim Amla. The world number one batter will be playing his first ODI since July 2022.

Babar Azam can become the second fastest batter to reach the 4000 runs milestone. Hashim Amla has the record of the fastest 4000 runs in ODIs. It took him only 81 innings to achieve this feat.

The Pakistani skipper only needs 15 runs to become the second fastest batter on the list. He currently has 3985 runs in 81 innings.

If Babar Azam manages to score a hundred in the next two innings, he will be the fastest batter ever to score 15 tons. The 27 year old currently has 14 centuries in 83 ODIs. Hashim Amla is the fastest to score 15 ODI hundreds. Virat Kohli is second on the list who did it in 106 innings.
