Babar Azam named ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year

The International Cricket Council revealed the winner of the award today.

Pakistan cricket team’s all format captain – Babar Azam – has been named as the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year. The International Cricket Council revealed the winner of the award today.

The other three cricketers nominated for the award were Shakib Al Hassan, Janneman Malan and Paul Stirling. Babar Azam was named the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of The Year for his superb form with the bat.

The Pakistani skipper scored 405 runs at an average of 67.50. He also scored two centuries.

Yesterday, Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Muhammad Rizwan was named the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of The Year. Furthermore, Fatima Sana won the ICC Emerging Women’s Cricketer of the Year.

Before this, Babar Azam was also named as the captain of both ODI and T20I teams of the year as well. Pakistani players dominated the ICC men’s teams of the year across all the three formats.
