Babar Azam’s father wins hearts with his gesture for the injured woman cricketer

Babar Azam's father has requested PCB to immediately help the woman cricketer.

Babar Azam with his father Babar Azam’s father, Azam Siddique, has won the hearts of millions of cricket fans for his gesture for woman cricketer Bisma Amjad. The woman cricketer had gotten injured during a training session in Karachi and was rushed to the hospital.

Despite earning billions of rupees every year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had reportedly refused to pay for her medical treatment. Following a massive backlash on social media, the cricket board issued a statement stating that it is looking after Bisma Amjad’s wellbeing as well as treatment expenses.

“Bisma Amjad suffered a concussion during a women’s training camp at the Sindh regional academy. The PCB, as a responsible organisation is continuing to look after her wellbeing as well as treatment expenses.”

Now, Babar Azam’s father has requested PCB to immediately help the woman cricketer. He also requested that if it cannot be arranged then his son’s match-fee from the India’s match should be used to pay her medical bills. “If a person wearing Pakistan’s star [on their uniform] is helpless, then it means that the nation is helpless,” he said.

In a video message, Bisma Amjad had confirmed that she was taken to a private hospital following her injury. The woman cricketer said that she is feeling much better after receiving medical treatment .
