  • She went to Ahmedpur East police station to report an earlier attack, where she was subjected to rape again.

According to the sources, a woman from Mohallah Uch Gilani, Uch Sharif, has alleged in open kutchehry of the RPO and district police officer that she had a case registered about three months ago under Section 376 of the PPC. The case was registered at Ahmedpur East Saddar police station against two men for raping her. She further told that the police officer summoned her on February 12th and claimed it was in connection with her case as he wanted to record her witness statement.

The City police had registered a rape case against the ASI but did not arrest him till the filing of this report. It is a horrifying case of its nature. The cases of rape and sexual assault are already not reported due to the stigma attached to them. However, even the police conduct in this regard pushes the victims back in their shells.
