BAIC X25 spotted in Pakistan, costs less than 3 million
The BAIC BJ40 was launched last year by Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SEWL) but we are yet to hear anything about its other cars. We saw the D20 hatchback and X25 subcompact displayed at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show (PAPS) a couple of years back.
Due to its affordable prices, the two cars garnered lots of attention from the auto industry’s enthusiasts. Despite the fact that there hasn’t been no progress regarding the official launch of the two cars but we can still expect X25 to be launched in the near future.
A Punjab registered BAIC X25 was recently spotted on the roads of Pakistan. Photos of the much awaited car has been doing rounds on social media with the registration information.
The unit spotted is a 2022 model registered on May 11. The estimated price of this vehicle is Rs. 2,935,000. Two years ago, BAIC had told a local news portal ProPakistani that the X25 will cost as much as the Suzuki Cultus, which costs Rs. 2,762,000 at the moment.
Some of the features of the BAIC X25 include:
- Antilock Braking System (ABS)
- Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
- Brake Assist (BA)
- Parking sensors
- Automatic headlights
- 6 Airbags
- Smart Infotainment System
- Steering Wheel Multimedia-Control Switches
The company still hasn’t revealed its plans of launching the car as yet. We will see if the Pakistani market will see the launch of the X25 or not.
