Balochistan collects record-high sales tax worth Rs11 billion
The collection of BRA has increased by 22% to Rs11 billion from Rs9 billion during fiscal year.

During the last fiscal year 2018-2019, the Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) collected record-high Rs11 billion in sales tax.
After the launch of the online tax collection service, the collection of BRA has increased by 22% to Rs11 billion from Rs9 billion during fiscal year 18.
On Sunday, while speaking to the meeting held in Gwadar, Balochistan’s Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi revealed the statistics to sales tax collected during the last fiscal year.
“The revenue of Rs11bn has been collected by the BRA this year through sales tax on services,” he said.
Delegation from all Provinces
Delegations from Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s revenue authorities were also present at the event. Revenue authority together with GPPB at Gwadar organized the event.
Many honorable guests including Mahfooz Ali Khan, the ex-secretary finance and member of the National Finance Commission from Baluchistan also addressed to the audience about tax and revenue collection.
“The present government of Balochistan has been working hard to bring changes through policy reforms. Balochistan has taken every possible step to utilize all available resources for the welfare of the common man,” Mir Buledi said.
He also appreciated the Chinese interest in the province for investing in infrastructure and social sectors.
The main motivation behind the revenue authority is the collection of tax and so far, it has attained decent success said Buledi.
He further highlighted the mechanism of tax collection. Moreover, matters of finance like planning,tax net, cross-border transactions, and sales tax were also part of minister’s speech .
