BBL 2021: Sydney Thunder rope in young Pakistani pacer
Pakistan will have more representation in the BBL this year
Pakistan gets more representation in the Big Bash League (BBL) as Sydney Thunder signs young Pakistani pacer. Before this, another BBL franchise Melbourne Stars had signed young fast bowler, Ahmed Danyal, for the ongoing edition of the league.
Now, the Sydney Thunder has announced the signing of Pakistani pacer Mohammad Hasnain. The Thunder announced Hasnain as their new player earlier this morning. He will be joining the likes of Daniel Sams, Ben Cutting, Saqib Mahmood, Chris Tremain, Nathan McAndrew, Gurinder Sandhu, and Brendan Doggett in the Sydney Thunder squad.

Muhammad Hasnain might play his first match in his new team on December 26th against the Sydney Sixers. Ben Cutting is excited to play with the Pakistani pacer in Australia. He also praised Hasnain’s ability to bowl fast.
“Muhammad is going to love bowling in Australia. We have faster pitches and bigger boundaries – conditions that are far more conducive to bowling fast than they are in Pakistan,” said Cutting.
Furthermore, CNSW Head of Male Cricket, Michael Klinger, is also excited to have the Pakistani pacer in the Thunder’s squad. “At such a young age he’s already taken a T20I hattrick for Pakistan, and he’s performed well for Quetta in the Pakistan Super League.”
Muhammad Hasnain has represented Pakistan in 17 T20Is and 12 ODI matches. He became the youngest bowler to take a hattrick in a T20I match, when he sent three Sri Lankan players back to the pavilion in 2019 at the age of 19.
