Religious scholar Mufti Tariq Masood has once again made headlines following a controversial statement, where he told men to keep ‘wives instead of dogs.’
In one of the videos posted on his YouTube channel of his sermon, Mufti Tariq Masood tells his followers that keeping dogs is not allowed in Islam. Hence, instead of ‘keeping dogs, men should keep wives.’ He further went on to say that if you find a pious woman, ‘usspe qabza ker lo.’

”Naik aurat mil jaye uspe qabza kero, ek aur mil jaye tou uspe bhi qabza kero,” he said. Ever since the video hit social media, it has sent the internet into a meltdown.
Mufti Tariq’s YouTube channel has over 3 million followers, which goes to show the large audience of people who follow him and look to him for guidance on Islam. This isn’t the first time he’s been under criticism for saying negative and misogynistic things, in fact, Mufti Tariq often makes headlines for his controversial views.
