BJP Government in its latest move has eliminated the special status of the Indian Occupied Kashmir through a Presidential Order. The move also got the support of Raja Sabha and Lok Sabha, both upper and lower houses of the Indian Parliament.
Still, very little information is coming from the IOK as Indian administration has maintained the complete blackout on media and transmission across the valley and as per media reports, the reporters are not being allowed to take shots of what exactly happening in the occupied land after the abrogation of their special rights as citizens of the Kashmir.
Kashmiris have long been fighting to get their right of self-determination and state forces of India have committed thousands of human rights violations inside the valley killing the youngsters, children, assaulting their women and thousands of persons have been subjected to the forced disappearances there.
Kashmiri people are considering the latest move totally unconstitutional as no prior consultations have been done with the people of the state or with the state legislature before changing their constitutional status.
Do you think that the world community and human rights organization can do anything good for the people of Kashmir to ascertain their demographic, religious and constitutional status? Let us know in the comment section
