Recently, Boxer Amir Khan posted his thoughts about joining politics to serve the people of Pakistan. The esteemed fighting champ took to Facebook to share a lengthy post describing his interest in the matter. In the Facebook status, Amir Khan shared:
I have been asked numerous times if I would join politics in Pakistan. Being a sportsman and being an ambassador for the country, I am honored to be asked if I would take part in politics. I would love to help the country. I would love to make Pakistan a better place and be a massive help in sports, education, child labor, and more. We will all leave this world one day, but we all should do our bit while still around.
The boxer further stated:
I have sat with many politicians and army generals agreeing and disagreeing on topics in the country. My heart is clean, and I would want the best for Pakistan. Let\’s see how things play out.
Amir Khan also added a similar example:
My old stablemate world champion boxer, Manny Pacquiao, also joined politics in the Philippines. I have been watching the great work Manny Pacquiao has done for his country, and I know I could do the same for Pakistan. It will be a massive decision to make, but one day I might consider this.
Amir Khan concluded the post by prompting his fans and followers to give him advice about joining politics.
