Bringing them in mainstream education bracket: PKR 1.86 billion approved for registration of Madaris

Under the Directorate of Religious Affairs, four offices would be run by the Ministry of Education while the other 12 would be taken from BECS (Basic Education Community Schools).

 

In order to make the religious educational institutes conventional, a budget of PKR 1.86 billion has been prepared by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.

As reported by the officials this Tuesday, the prepared budget would be used to purchase various goods like vehicles, provide numerous facilities to the Madaris, and the construction of offices. It has also been told that a Directorate of Religious Affairs is recently established that opened 16 offices across the country.

Under the Directorate of Religious Affairs, four offices would be run by the Ministry of Education while the other 12 would be taken from BECS (Basic Education Community Schools).

All these offices are said to take care of the management of the Madaris as well as things related to the registration.

It was further confirmed that the Directorate of Religious Affairs would include members of NCHD (National Commission for Human Development) and BECS as employees.

Nevertheless, they’ve additionally decided to hand over around 12 thousand schools of BECS to different provinces in the country. The Board for the registration of these Madaris would also include various religious personalities, as mentioned by the sources.
