British Airways suspends flights to Islamabad from 15th to 30th June
The reason behind the suspension is unknown, but officials say it is due to 'operational reasons of British Airways.
According to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), British Airways has temporarily suspended flights to Islamabad from 15th to 30th June.
The reason behind the suspension is unknown, but officials say it is due to ‘operational reasons of British Airways.’ The PCAA also debunked the fake news going around in the media regarding suspension of British Airways flights due to unavailability of fuel at Islamabad International Airport.
”The British Airways station manager at Islamabad International Airport telephonically informed the PCAA Islamabad airport manager that flights to Islamabad will continue to operate till June 15,” a spokesperson for PCAA said.
In a press release, the PCAA clarified the matter, saying that they have taken a report from a supplier of aviation fuel at the airport. The supplier confirmed that there is no shortage of fuels, and fuel tanks are full. The aviation company will also issue a clarification in this regard.
The company also stopped its flight operation from Lahore to London in March of 2022 after an agreement was completed. The company restarted direct flights to Pakistan in 2019 after a decade-long hiatus.
