Bristow said that this month is a time of self-improvement, spiritual reflection, and worship.

To show his support for his Muslim voters, a Member of the Parliament (MP) for Peterborough in Eastern England, Paul Bristow decided to fast during the first week of the holy month of Ramadan.

Bristow said that this month is a time of self-improvement, spiritual reflection, and worship.

‘’For the first week of Ramazan, I too, have decided to fast. I am not a Muslim’’, he said.

The MP also kept his followers updated about his fasting journey on Twitter in his videos.

‘’I did it to better represent the thousands of my constituents, who are Muslims to understand more about what they undertake each and every year’’, Bristow said in a video.

He said that during this period, he learned more about Islam and also discovered his hidden mental strength. Bristow added that Ramadan is about more than just fasting. It is about changing the way you feel about things.

‘’It is also about charity, and it is a very special time of the year’’, he continued.

  • The world needs this tolerance and unity in the times of Trump and Boris

    • I agree that world as whole needs these examples of tolerance and respect and Pakistan in particular needs it more than ever.

  • Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and righteousness” (Q 2:183)
This means its not for only Ummah of Imam ul Ambia Muhammad peace be upon rather its for others as well.
