Body of seven-year-old girl set on fire, then dragged to fields in Peshawar

A minor girl’s burnt body was found in Peshawar’s Badaber town on Thursday morning, a day after she went missing.
According to details, the 7-year-old was dragged into the nearby fields sometime before her body was recovered. She had gone missing at around 3 pm on Wednesday, while her burnt body was found on Thursday morning.
The Peshawar police said that an investigation has been underway, and the area’s profiling is also being conducted.
The child’s father told a source, “My daughter had gone to a nearby shop after being given Rs10 by her grandfather, but she did not return. We installed a speaker on a vehicle to make missing announcements and had friends and acquaintances ask around the village.”
He added, ” I went to submit a temporary request to file a kidnapping case at the police station.”
The Chief Minister of KP, Mahmood Khan, took notice of the incident and directed the Provincial Police Chief, Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi, to guarantee the culprit’s early arrest.
It was the second incident in the area in less than a week as last Saturday, the body of a four-year-old boy with a ruptured stomach was recovered in a neighboring village.
