In the 1970s, people could easily travel on a bus service from Bradford to Rawalpindi for just £75. The bus service that made this happen was called ‘Shaheen Express’.

This bus service had introduced a holiday package to Pakistan. Under this holiday package, a passenger could travel from to United Kingdom (UK) to Rawalpindi via bus. The journey would last a total of 12 days.

Around 40 passengers could travel from Bradford to Rawalpindi in a bus with their families and luggage.

Recently, a video documentary of the splendid nostalgic journey of the tour by Getty image surfaced on social media. People are loving watching how the bus drivers prepared for the long journey. Each bus would have a qualified mechanic on board to ensure safety in case of hazards and mishaps.

The documentary also revealed that all passengers received tents for sleeping at night and tinned food to eat. The tinned food included delicious nourishments like chicken curry, meatballs, and mincemeat. The bus service would also keep the audience entertained throughout the journey with some folk Pakistani music.
