Canada announces a deadline extension for visit visa holders
People who held a work permit in the past 12 months and are applying under this policy can make a request to start working for their employer soon.
Canadian Government has announced an extension of deadline for visit visa holders, having job opportunities to apply for a work permit without leaving the country.
People who have held a work permit in the past 12 months and are applying under this policy can make a request to start working for their employer soon. The policy was set to expire on 28th February, 2022. However, it would now continue till 28th February, 2025. The extension would also allow Canadian firms to address the concern of their staff shortage.
Foreign nationals who are in Canada as visitors and who receive a valid job offer will continue to be able to apply for, and receive, a work permit without having to leave the country until February 28th, 2025.
