Canadian Senior Trade Commissioner calls Pakistan her ‘second home’, shares lovely pictures of her stay

The Canadian diplomat wishes Pakistan the best of luck in the fight against novel COVID-19.

Sharing lovely pictures from her stay, Canadian diplomat and senior trade commissioner at global affairs Canada, Margaux McDonald has declared Pakistan as her second home. In her tweet, she also wished the national a speedy recovery and come back from the COVID-19 crisis.

McDonald is an economist in the research department of the International Monetary Fund. After her appointment in October 2018 to overlook business and trade relations between Canada and Pakistan, she has been spending a lot of time intermingling with Pakistani locals and adapting to the culture here.

While her stay here, she regularly posted pictures of her explorations and also openly showed her fondness for the country. After getting back to Canada, she penned down a heartfelt message with Pakistan and shared some beautiful clicks.

‘Speaking of home, I’m back in Canada for now. But after two years away, Pakistan has certainly become my second beloved home. Missing the wonderful people of Pakistan at this difficult time and wishing you all good health and perseverance,’ Margaux wrote while sharing her sentiments.
