After successfully being operational in Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, and at other locations the ride-hailing app is expanding its food delivery services to Karachi. The initial destination of its services is the Defense Housing Authority (DHA). Food delivery, currently, is a growing market and is forecasted to grow to around $25 billion in the years to come.
Citing the huge potential in this field, Careem has decided to venture investment worth $150 million. The app can be used with one’s existing Careem credentials and wallet. The app lets its users track the order via an interactive map and reach out to the delivery captains either directly or through a care center.
The customers can also track the orders through the app’s live map and can enjoy the food without the hassle of phone calls and pickups. Payments can be done via cards or through signing in to the Careem’s account for extra convenience.
The conventional payment method (cash on delivery) provides another way to pay for your order. Reportedly, the list of Careem’s launch partners include global brands like Subway, Esquires Coffee, and some local brands such as Easy Juicy Lucy, Broadway Piza, etc.
All you have to do is to browse a restaurant in your vicinity, find something delicious, and click right away to order. The food would be at your doorstep providing you with a seamless delivery experience.
