CarFirst Becomes Latest Startup To Shut Down Operations in Pakistan

The Lahore-based startup, CarFirst, has become the latest company to shut down its operations in the country.

In a statement issued on social media, the company announced that it has decided to shut down operations in Pakistan. CarFirst thanked its team, partners and customers for their continued support during its journey.

Furthermore, for the customers and partners, a team will be available to answer their queries and to handle closing of the entity throughout the closing period.

CarFirst was launched in 2016, it acted as middleman between the consumers and the dealers. They would buy used cars from the customers and sell them to the dealers via online auctions.

Just a couple of months back, VavaCars announced to shutdown its operations in Pakistan just eight months after it raised $50 million. A number of companies have been struggling lately as they are either completely shutting down or laying off employees.

Careem’s food delivery service, Truck It and Airlift Technologies are some of the startups, which have been completely shut down over the last few months.
