A Pakistani ‘carpenter’ has become a ‘fashion model’ in Saudi Arabia.
The 24-year-old, Waqas, informed a news outlet that he came to the Kingdom four years ago and before that, he was working as a carpenter.
Waqas has done many fashion ‘shoots’ with advertising companies. He said that ‘he couldn’t believe that one day he’ll quit the job as a carpenter and become a model for ‘designer clothes.’
How his luck changed
Waqas said he got this opportunity through his friend. His friend, Faisal, ‘changed his life’.
Sharing his story, Waqas told that Faisal was editing pictures from a photo session once when he expressed his desire to enter the ‘fashion world’ and how he never got the chance and platform when he was in Pakistan.
Hearing this, Faisal took some pictures of him and sent them to an advertising agency and also shared the clicks on social media.
People from the advertising agency saw the potential in him and social media helped him enter into the industry. He then started getting contracts and so, his long lost dream was finally fulfilled.
