PICTURES: 4 celebrity couples who broke stereotypes, quite literally!
Some pretty strong examples here!
While for decades and decades, the average marriage age hovered in the 20s, the times seem to be changing. If you’re not anywhere close to getting married as you see your 20s start to whoosh by, there’s no need to be worried.
Both statistically and societally, waiting longer to get married is becoming more and more of a norm. This trend reflects some of the best parts of modern life—but also some of the slightly more difficult parts of being a young adult in 2020.
So just how much is the marriage age changing over time? And not just everyone but many celebrities jumped on this bandwagon too. Here we have a list of some celebrities and politicians who broke the stereotypes and got married at an older age.
Film Star Anjuman
Pakistani film actress Anjuman Jee has made a big name for herself in the industry. She got married to an income tax officer and moved abroad. However, unfortunately, her husband got murdered, and she moved back to Pakistan.
At the age of 64, Anjuman tied the knot with Lucky Ali, who has been a hero in Punjabi films and is also a businessman.
Former Senator of PPP Taj Haider at the age of 75 got married to a local news anchor Naheed Wasi. The bride and groom’s massive age gap led people to think that this marriage has a hidden purpose, or the bride did it out of greed, but they are still married happily, proving everyone wrong.
Manzar Sehbai and Samina Ahmed
Veteran actors of Pakistan, Manzar Sehbai, and Samina Ahmed tied the knot a few months back, giving all a very pleasing surprise. Both the actors are 70 plus, and people were more than happy as these two broke many stereotypes.
Pakistani actress Reema Khan is undoubtedly the big name of our media industry. Khan got married when she was more than 40 years of age. She married a doctor, and now she is a mother to a son.
