Chained and tortured, woman rescued from husband in Sahiwal

In another horrifying case of domestic violence and physical assault – a woman, bruised chained, was rescued from her in-laws in Sahiwal yesterday (Sunday). The absolutely shocking case of violence has left people utterly disgusted as they press for justice.

According to the initial reports from local media sources, the suspect had allegedly kept his wife in chains for weeks and would torture her regularly. He kept her locked up at their residence in the Sheeran Wali Gali neighbourhood for nearly 20 days. Acting responsibly, the neighbourhood alerted the police a team from Ghalla Mandi police station.

After receiving the information about her, a team from Ghalla Mandi police station was sent to recover the woman. The initial footage verified their claims, as the woman was found in chains, wounded and desperate. In the screengrab, she can be seen sitting on the floor of a room handcuffed and with her shackled feet connected to a wall with a chain.
