Changan Motors all set to enter the Crossover SUV market with its ‘Uni-K SUV’

The limelight will shine again on Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) as the automaker is gearing up to enter the crossover SUVs segment. According to sources, the auto company is bringing crossover SUVs and a pickup truck to its lineup to acquire a larger market share.
According to details, MCML has imported three vehicles to Pakistan for road testing. The vehicles include:
- The Oshan X7 SUV
- The Hunter Crew-Cabin pickup truck
- The Uni-K Midsize SUV
The details of the Oshan X7 SUV and the Hunter Crew-Cabin pickup truck have not been revealed by the auto company yet.
Details about the Uni-K Midsize SUV
The Uni-K midsize crossover SUV made its debut in late 2020. With its cutting-edge body style and technology, the vehicle has a class of its own.
In terms of design and appearance, the midsize SUV mimics European sports SUVs. The Uni-K features five-passenger seats instead of seven, which is the number of passengers that most SUVs in the same category can accommodate.

Changan has opted to go for a more efficient choice in terms of the powertrain with this vehicle. Reports state that the Uni-K is fitted with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 229 horsepower, 360 Newton-Meters of torque, and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
The vehicle features several high-tech features, including a modern infotainment system and driver’s display, which controls various functions and displays several vital bits of information. Other features include level three autonomous driving capability, various driver assists features, multiple drive modes, and 360-degree visibility.
