Charsadda Drug-abuse Rehabilitation Center found to be administering narcotics to patients instead of treating them

In a disturbing turn of events, a Charsadda drug-abuse rehabilitation center was found to be administering narcotics to patients instead of treating them. The Excise Department had received information about a drug transaction that took place in the center and intervened.
The raid was headed by the circle officer and SHO of the Mardan Excise Police Station. During the investigation, 462 grams of ice, 508 grams of heroin, two handguns, two rifles, and other documents were confiscated.
The rehab center’s owner, Arif, along with the center’s manager named Haji Rehman were both taken into custody. In addition to this, the facility also had sexually abused children and healthy individuals that were kept for financial gain. Two minors, with one of them being only 16, are being returned back to their families.
The rehab center’s license would be terminated and the suspects have been charged with all offenses.
