Chery SUVs to make their way into the Pakistani market soon?

Chery SUVs might be coming to Pakistan.

Pakistani car lovers can officially get excited as sources state that Chery SUVs are making their way into the country. According to sources, Ghandhara Industries Limited (GIL) is partnering with the Chinese automaker company, Chery Automobile Co., to bring their SUVs to Pakistan. 

Chery might partner with GIL to bring it’s vehicles to Pakistan.

Sources state that GIL is currently working on a deal with Chery Automobile Co. The automaker is preparing to sign an agreement with GIL in the next few weeks. 

The same sources further stated that once the deal is closed, GIL will manufacture Chery SUVs in Pakistan.

It should be noted that GIL is a well-known Karachi-based truck and bus manufacturer. The company assembles and manufactures Isuzu vehicles in Pakistan.

Chinese automakers specialize in a range of luxury SUVs. Sources anticipated that among all the company’s offerings, Tiggo 8 is the most likely to enter the Pakistani market.

Pakistani automotive companies have done an excellent job outgrowing the country’s SUV range in 2020. From Kia Sportage to MG HS, Hyundai Tucson, Proton X70, and DFSK Glory580 Pro – we have seen many newcomers this year. Now it looks like the Pakistani SUV range is going to get a “Chery” on top.

Considering the already prevalent competition in the segment, Chery Automobile Co. will make a bold move if it decides to enter Pakistan’s auto sector. Only time will tell how it’s vehicles are received by Pakistanis this time around.
