Chinese company Royal Group to establish milk farming units across Pakistan

The company aims to produce high-quality milk from these buffalo farms and then process it into powdered milk and mozzarella cheese.

Royal Group Co. Ltd., a China-based company, is set to establish buffalo milk farming units across Pakistan.

The Chinese company aims to produce high-quality fresh milk, powdered milk, cheese, and other dairy products in the South Asian country.

This was revealed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Royal Group Co. Ltd. in a meeting with the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, & Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Dr. Hamid Jalil (Member of Food Security & Climate Change, Planning Commission of Pakistan) and other senior officials were also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the Royal Group Co. Ltd. CEO revealed that the China-based company would establish six labs in various cities of Pakistan.

From these labs, buffalo embryos would be created via a high-quality genetic In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) process.

It is pertinent to note that the company has provided assurance that the buffalo farms in the South Asian country would be foot-and-mouth (FMD) disease-free.

The company aims to produce high-quality milk from these buffalo farms and then process it into powdered milk and mozzarella cheese.

The Chinese company also aims to establish a Semen Production Unit (SPU) in Pakistan, where the breeding of the bulls would be managed.

 Meanwhile, Asad Umar welcomed the Chinese company to Pakistan and assured it of all possible facilities, remarking that the Government of Pakistan does not have any bureaucratic red-tapism.

He added that the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority are committed to promoting investment from the East Asian country.

Asad Umar shared that the Investor Facilitation Center (IFC) under the CPEC Authority would soon become operational. This would help resolve issues being faced by Chinese investors.
