Chinese scholar Cheng Xizhong heaps praise on PM Imran Khan’s economic achievements
Cheng Xizhong, visiting professor at Southwest University of Political Science and Law, has heaped praise on Prime Minister Imran Khan for his economic achievements during his tenure. In an article written by him, he shed light on the achievements of the cricketer turned politician’s government.
Cheng Xizhong credited PM Khan for Pakistan standing in the top three in Economist normalcy index for the third consecutive time. No other country in the world has been able to achieve this.
Furthermore, Pakistan’s revised Gross Domestic Products (GDP) growth of 5.37% in Financial Year 2021 is the second best in the last 14 years. The former Defence Attache in South Asian countries also mentioned Bloomberg’s report about Pakistan, according to which, the country is entering the decade of sustainable growth.
According to Cheng, Pakistan has significantly improved its exports, especially textiles and Information Technology (IT) services. Moreover, he also praised PM Khan for putting the interests of his people before anything else.
He lauded PM Imran Khan’s across the board accountability, which has been praised by people from all walks of life. Cheng Xizhong was all praise for the incumbent government’s foreign policies, which helped maintained regional and global peace and stability as well as alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. Pakistan has managed to restore its respect in international community due to these policies, he wrote.
The scholar termed PM Imran Khan “well-deserved great leader of the Pakistani people.”
