Classes to be held in two shifts: Punjab Government finalizes SOPs for reopening of schools
After being closed for over six months, the School Education Department Punjab has finalized the re-opening of schools under strict SOPs across the province.
The SOPs are to keep children and students safe from the virus. On July 9th, 2020, the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood announced the re-opening of all educational institutes from September 15th.
The Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Schools will provide hand sanitizers to all students and members of the faculty. All ceremonies and functions, including breaks, will not take place under these SOPs too.
Only 20 students will be allowed to sit in a classroom while two students will share one desk.
If any school is unable to ensure these SOPs, it will be required to operate in two shifts.
