CM Punjab orders to issue Sehat cards for all Punjab govt employees

The CM has ordered speeding up the process of ordering health cards to the workers employed in the provincial government. He added that the card will help in providing basic medical facilities to the government employees within the range of Rs. 7.25 lakh.

He further added that the amount can be increased if needed. It speaks for the government’s seriousness towards taking care of all segments of the society. Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar issued the directives ordering the issuance of cards while presiding over a meeting regarding development schemes pertaining to the southern Punjab districts.

Further, the meeting also decided to construct small dams to store water in Dera Ghazi Khan and Fort Munro. The CM added that these newly-constructed water reservoirs will be used in providing clean drinking water to the community.

CM Buzdar further added that the resthouses of Fort Munro need to be properly renovated and the spot should be revamped into a resort, attracting tourists. Special directives were sent to the concerned departments to refurbish these 18 resthouses and enabling online booking facility.

CM has ordered to action the not-in-use vehicles of Tribal Area Development Authority along with other departments as well. He added that the lining of Maneka Canal is on top of the priority list along with tree plantation and a separate sewerage facility.

He added that the truck body manufacturing industry needs to be relocated to another appropriate location in DG Khan and imperative steps need to be taken for the treatment of wastewater.
