A first-year college student was “abducted and later gang-raped” in Karachi.

According to the police, the main suspect, along with three accomplices, has been arrested.

According to the FIR (First Information Report) filed with Malir Police, the victim is a resident of the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, and her father filed the complaint. The victim’s father told the police that his daughter had left her house to go to college on February the 9th, 2021.

However, when she did not return home by 1 pm, her family got worried and started searching for her.

“Yesterday, I received a call from a Defence Housing Authority (DHA) police station that my daughter had been found in DHA,” the victim’s father said, according to police.

Police said the girl was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she later narrated the incident, saying that “three men abducted her and later gang-raped her.”

The Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Irfan Bahadur, and the SSP Investigation Malir, Imran Qureshi, visited the victim’s residence and assured the family that justice would be served.

Police arrest the main suspect, three accomplices.

Malir Police informed Geo News that the main suspect, along with three of his accomplices, have been arrested in connection with the incident and an investigation is underway.

Police added that the suspects are being interrogated, adding that a medico-legal examination of the suspects is also being carried out.

“Further action will be taken once the forensics report is obtained,” police said.

    • 1. No this didnt increase since PTI came into power.
      2. This happened in Karachi, which is in Sind, law and order is the responsibility of the home minister Sind, not federal govt, its Sind police not federal police. If you need to blame anyone its PPP.

      • Sir with that logic, we can safely say that Sindh Police (PPP) has done a tremendous job by bringing back peace in Karachi.
Also when I said that such incidents have increased, it was not meant only in Karachi, rather in country. Don’t you see what happens every other day in Punjab or in Islamabad. In last government we had one model town, in this govt we already have three or four such incidents. In last govts., there was one Kasoor or Zainab incident, now it is like a daily story of people being killed, children being molested and killed. Please correct me if you think I am saying wrong. Thanks
